Thoughts

Dear Michelle, Hugh, and family. It's hard to know what to write, I've known Smiler since I joined Duffa and Blacksheep in 2011 and my heart is aching and grieving with you. I can only imagine how you are all feeling. i'm praying that god has helped you get through today and will continue to stay close to you all. 'The Lord is close to the brokenhearted' (Psalm 34). One of my fondest memories of smiler was when we all went away to Fishbowl tournament in Lancaster. We just had the best time playing frisbee, hanging out, playing pool, I remember he was such a joy to be around making us all laugh. Then to top it all, we dressed up in our finest Japanese attire (Smiler was godzilla of course) and we went and won the party award. He always brought so much joy and fun, and I always felt relaxed in his presence. God bless you all xxx Louise Leach

Dear Michelle and Hugh, what a fantastic man Stuart was. We are deeply saddened by your loss. We had the great pleasure in knowing him firstly through Ultimate, and then squash and a shared interest in softball. We knew him fondly as Smiler and regardless of the conditions we found ourselves playing frisbee in (the wind, rain or snow) or the limited ability of some of our fellow players he gave it his all, never giving up, and with a smile and positive attitude. We shall always remember him with his joyful, infectious smile, positive attitude and his constant running on the pitch! Our prayers are with you, may you be surrounded always by those willing to share their memories of Stuart. Love Ellie and Dean Phillips xx

Thinking of the happy childhood that Stuart enjoyed in a lovely & loving family. Always a joy as a young boy to manhood. One of life’s brightest stars.
